The New 2011 Optima is now approximately the same size as all the best-selling mid-size sedans like the Toyota Camry, Honda Accord and Chevrolet Malibu, but it's much more interesting visual vertical, focused and clean, with little effect on Euro influence. Optima into more like a sport sedan, decorated with the instrument panel to the driver. An aggressive stance, dual exhaust and chrome tip on top of that, flashy chrome trim wheels complete the look.
Class-Leading Efficient and Powerful Engines
For Western Europe, the new Kia Optima will be available with a choice of 2.0-litre CVVL petrol and 1.7-litre VGT turbo-diesel engines. In Russia and some Eastern European markets it will be offered with a 2.4-litre MPI petrol engine producing 178 ps. All transmissions for the new Kia Optima, both manual and automatic, will have six speeds. Outside Europe, 2011 Kia Optima available with six all-new Theta II family engines (depending on market), with Kia's first application of GDI technology and up to 278 ps of power.

Power specifications for the 2011 Kia Optima Hybrid comes from a 2.4L 4-cylinder engine making 166-hp at 6,000 rpm with a maximum torque of 154 lb-ft at 4,250 rpm. The engine is mated to a a 6-speed automatic transmission and a 40-hp / 151 lb-ft electric-motor (powered by a lithium polymer battery that allows you to drive zero-emissions, fully-electric up to 62 mph). Total output for the 2011 Kia Optima Hybrid comes in at 206-hp and a peak torque of 195.4 lb-ft.
